Next weekend, players and fans will head to the Oracle Arena to take part in the biggest Intel Extreme Masters stop in North America to date. After the start of the KeSPA Cup, the League of Legends lineup for IEM Oakland is finally locked in. Here are the teams that will fight for the IEM Oakland championship title on November 19-20.
Following the post-Worlds roster swaps, League of Legends for IEM Oakland were in flux, but the final list of teams is made up of worthy adversaries. NA LCS frontrunners Team SoloMid will represent North America on home soil, while a first place finish in the LMS Summer Split earned Flash Wolves their tickets to Oakland.
At the end of October, INTZ e-Sports of Brazil and The Chiefs eSports Club of Oceania placed first and second place at the IEM Challenger in Paris, France, clinching their spots at the Oracle Arena as the two International Wildcard teams.
Unicorns of Love were added to the lineup representing Europe after Splyce decided to take a break after Worlds. Finally, Longzhu Gaming of the LCK finalized the team list after their performance in the KeSPA Cup.
Due to Visa complications, there will be no team representing LPL at IEM Oakland.
These six teams will battle for a share of the US$100,000 prize pool and a spot at the IEM World Championship in Katowice, Poland in 2017.
